Need a pack for a quick overnighter, peak bagging or a leisurely day hike? The Fastpack, is a vest style pack with no hipbelt, that was built for comfort and speed. Because of the construction of this pack, it will work best for people who weigh between 130 and 200 pounds.   With 25 liters of space in the main pack body, and 15 liters of extra space in the extension collar, there’s plenty of room for everything you’d need for a night or two, yet it rolls down to a reasonably sized day pack! The Fastpack has a spacer mesh paneled back and a removable interior foam pad, providing breathability and added comfort.

The shoulder straps of the Fastpack have two water bottle sleeves and two large snack/ smartphone pockets, which means you’ll be able to put in a lot of fast miles without ever needing to take your pack off! A large front mesh pocket, side compression straps, front bungee and large side pockets make this an extremely versatile pack.

Original Green, Black, Red, Orange, Blue Blaze, Purple, Teal, and Grey packs are sewn with our ULA 400 Robic Fabric, the toughest stuff ounce for ounce we’ve ever seen. The Multicam Camo pack is sewn with 500 Cordura Fabric. The Cordura is not quite as tear resistant and a little heavier than the Robic, adding an extra 2 oz to the total pack weight.

NEW! Now you can customize the color of your ULA pack! Select “Custom” under the “Pack Color” dropdown, and add your pack to the cart. Then go to our CUSTOM page, select the level of customization you want and use our pack customizer to customize the look of your pack! NOTE: Custom charges are not refundable and returned custom packs will be assessed a $35 restocking fee.

Yo! This pack is great and has satisfied my need for a smallish pack for long day trips, quick weekend trips, and small sections trips.

As others have said, I love having easy access to so much of my gear while still moving.

I had one issue with the shoulder strap buckle system but was able to fix it really easily.

I talk more about the pack and fix in this video.

I’m a ULA fan for sure!

Just got my ULA Fastpack in the mail yesterday. I packed it with my usual 3 day ultralight kit for winter in the Deep South. I went and weighed it at my local bike shop and it’s right at 17.5 lbs with water bottles full and food for 3 days. I packed for full winter comfort with temps in the 30’s and 40’s. Took it on a pack run with my dog this morning and I enjoyed it tremendously. I really like the water bottle sleeve placement and the pouches on the straps. These make life easier while fastpacking and balance everything out. I use 700ml bottles and they conch tight with perfect placement. The pack was comfortable and had very little wag while jumping over mud puddles and roots. I cinched the z straps down and ran hard for about 5 miles in a swampy river bottom at 0530 with 29F temps. The pack actually kept me warmer and I didn’t have any sweat soaked gear afterwards. I have to say, this pack is perfect for me. I weigh about 200lbs and I’m 5’9”… I ordered the large torso size but probably could have gotten away with a medium, although it’s fine as is. I can’t wait to get into the backcountry during summer with a super ultralight loadout and a week’s worth of food. This is my first ULA pack and I’m very impressed. I decided to go with this pack over the other “Fastpack” brands because I tend to go out for a week at a time and this pack can haul the food required without doubt. I honestly love it!!! I submitted the order early in the morning, got my name embroidered, and it still shipped the same day. Good on ya ULA!!! I’m a happy camper!

I just did a glorious day hike ( Linville Gorge says HI SHUG ) with the Fastpack, but loaded it with an over nighter in mind. I’m thrilled with it! I could move and breathe so much better, I forgot it was there. With nearly 20lbs. in it, I figured it would sag or pull on my shoulders but it rode on my back like a squid! If you can dial back luxury items I believe multi-day treks are possible with the fastpack, tho not advertised as such.

I had originally bought this pack for day hikes and taking to work but realized i could fit all my gear in it with room to spare. there’s a lot of skepticism about this pack but it has turned into my go to pack. I’ve already got 500+ miles with this pack and it still looks brand new. the pockets on the straps are very convenient for hiking long days and very comfortable once you get them dialed in plus not having hipbelts is very freeing. If you have a baseweight below 10 pounds its a great pack. for backpacking. or just all around everything day to day pack. Very happy with the fastpack.
