The X50 Cicada is a sleek, front-loading backpack designed for seamless organization. The Cicada features four quick-access exterior pockets—two smaller zippered stash spots, a larger front compartment and a hidden passport pocket in the false backpanel—keep your essentials safe and at hand. Inside, a padded laptop sleeve with a false bottom protects your tech from drops, while two static mesh zippered pockets, a full-height UltraStretch mesh sleeve, and dual internal UltraStretch mesh bottle/accessory pockets keep your gear tidy and accessible. The Graceful pen holder blends into the front panel so the small things stay put.
Designed with travel in mind, the X50 Cicada features a luggage pass-through and hidden passport pockets for smooth, secure transitions. A breathable mesh back panel and padded haul loop deliver all-day comfort, while hip belt attachment loops offer a more supportive carry when needed.
Finished with rugged YKK Aquaguard zippers and a proprietary ULA Green high-visibility 210D UltraGrid liner made exclusively for us by Challenge Sailcloth, the Cicada is a minimalist daily pack backed by the same lifetime warranty as our thru-hiking packs.
The X50 Cicada daypack is compatible with our Removable 1" Hipbelt for enhanced load stability.

TECHNICAL FABRICS
X-PAC X50
X-Pac X50 is a high-performance, multi-layer laminate fabric developed by Dimension-Polyant, a company originally known for its innovative sailcloth. Engineered to balance durability, weather resistance, and structure without excessive weight, X50 is one of the most rugged fabrics in the X-Pac line—ideal for applications where abrasion resistance and long-term performance matter most.
X-Pac X50 features a 500D Cordura® nylon exterior, making it well-suited for high-contact areas and gear built for hard use. Sandwiched between the outer and inner layers is the signature black X-PLY® polyester fiber matrix, which adds tensile strength and dimensional stability, preventing the fabric from stretching or deforming over time. A PET film inside the laminate provides waterproofness—rated to over 200 PSI of hydrostatic resistance.
ULTRASTRETCH™
UltraStretch™ is an advanced 4-way stretch mesh woven with the highest quality fibers for performance and longevity. Made from a woven blend of Nylon 6-6, Lycra®, and Ultra-PE and coated with C0 DWR.
