Clear

Maybe you overstuffed your front pocket one to many times, you got hung up in some brush, or you had to use your front shock cord as a shoe lace replacement – hey, we’re not judging… on the trail, anything can happen (that’s why we’re out there right?) No matter how it happened, if your front shock cord’s a little droopy or just flat out missing, this shock cord kit has everything you need to get your snap back – replacement cord, spring stop toggle cord lock, and a plastic cord end to tie it all together. By the time you’re done, no one will ever know what happened.

Why are there sizes? We eliminate the “What length should I even make this thing?” problem, by sending you the EXACT length of cord for your pack. To get the right length of shock cord for your pack, please select the correct size of your pack from the drop-down above. If you do not remember what sized pack you own, check the size tag. The size tag can be found in the seam along the top back of your pack, where the top compression strap meets the back panel. If your size tag is missing, you do not remember what size pack you ordered, and your pack fits correctly, use a measuring tape and the Torso Size Chart listed in the “Sizing” tab to find your pack size.

MEASURING YOUR TORSO LENGTH

Torso measurement is the best guide we have for proper pack fit, but it isn’t foolproof. Generally we find that if you are between sizes on the torso it’s best to go with the smaller size, if you are between sizes on the hipbelt it’s best to go with the larger size.

To accurately measure your torso length for a correct pack fit, grab a buddy and follow the steps below…

  • Standing upright, tilt your chin to your chest.
  • Locate the largest lump on the back of your neck. It should be located close to the base of your neck proper.
  • From this large bone, measure (with the flexible tape) down the length and natural curvature of your spine to the top of your waist band, the top of which is resting on the top your hipbone. This measurement in inches is your torso length.

PACK SIZE TORSO LENGTH HIKER’S HEIGHT
SMALL 15″ – 18″ UNDER 5’6″
MEDIUM 18″ – 21″ 5’6″ TO 6’0″
LARGE 21″ – 24″ 5’10’ TO 6’4″
X-LARGE 24″ + OVER 6’4″
