The ULTRA Muse Cicada is a sleek, front-loading backpack designed for seamless organization. The Cicada features four quick-access exterior pockets—two smaller zippered stash spots, a larger front compartment and a hidden passport pocket in the false backpanel—keep your essentials safe and at hand. Inside, a padded laptop sleeve with a false bottom protects your tech from drops, while two static mesh zippered pockets, a full-height UltraStretch mesh sleeve, and dual internal UltraStretch mesh bottle/accessory pockets keep your gear tidy and accessible. The Graceful pen holder blends into the front panel so the small things stay put.
Designed with travel in mind, the ULTRA Muse Cicada features a luggage pass-through and hidden passport pockets for smooth, secure transitions. A breathable mesh back panel and padded haul loop deliver all-day comfort, while hip belt attachment loops offer a more supportive carry when needed.
The Muse Cicada features Truelock™ Solution Dyed Coated CORDURA® Nylon Fabric.
Finished with rugged YKK Aquaguard zippers and a proprietary ULA Green high-visibility 210D UltraGrid liner made exclusively for us by Challenge Sailcloth, the Cicada is a minimalist daily pack backed by the same lifetime warranty as our thru-hiking packs.
The Ultra Muse Cicada daypack is compatible with our Removable 1" Hipbelt for enhanced load stability.

ULTRA
ULTRA™ represents a new paradigm in weight and durability. Constructed with an optimal blend of UHMWPE (Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) and high-tenacity polyester, this tight weave is laminated with an eco-friendly adhesive to Challenge RUV™ film. The result is an incredibly strong, ultralight, and waterproof to 200 PSI textile. ULTRA™ is the ultimate ultralight fabric, with the strength to go the distance in the most demanding environments.
ULTRA 400TX
Ultra400TX is a next-gen laminate built for people who push gear to its limits developed by Challenge Sailcloth. At the core is a 400-denier UHMWPE ripstop — one of the strongest fibers on the planet — woven into a recycled polyester face that shrugs off abrasion while keeping weight crazy low.
The TX laminate adds a waterproof film and backing that delivers >200 PSI hydrostatic resistance, low stretch, and increased tear strength, all while maintaining a clean, structured feel that packs like a dream. It’s quiet, tough, and feels premium
Ultra400TX is also 100% PFAS-free, so you’re not trading performance for environmental safety. If you’re looking for something that rides the line between ultralight and overbuilt, this is it. It’s made for packs that go the distance, take a beating, and still show up ready for more.
ULTRASTRETCH™
UltraStretch™ is an advanced 4-way stretch mesh woven with the highest quality fibers for performance and longevity. Made from a woven blend of Nylon 6-6, Lycra®, and Ultra-PE and coated with C0 DWR.

CORDURA® TrueLock™
CORDURA® TrueLock™ is a high-tenacity nylon 6,6 fabric made using solution-dyed fibers, which means the color is locked in at the raw material stage—before the fiber is even spun. This creates incredibly rich, long-lasting color that won’t fade from sun exposure or dull from abrasion over time.
Because the dye is infused directly into the fiber itself, TrueLock™ offers exceptional color consistency across production batches and between components like fabric, webbing, and trims. No surprises. No mismatched shades.
The fabric has a matte, non-reflective finish with a tough, clean look—making it a great fit for both outdoor and tactical gear. It also resists UV damage better than standard piece-dyed fabrics, meaning it holds its strength and integrity even after extended time in the sun.
And on the sustainability front, TrueLock™ delivers. The solution-dye process uses significantly less water and energy and cuts down on greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional dyeing methods—without compromising on performance.
